06 / FAQ

Before you enter the studio.

Is Studio Close-Up completely soundproof?

The studio has walls and doors with enhanced acoustic insulation that reduce sound transfer. Acoustic panels on the ceiling and walls control reverberation and reflections, but we do not claim complete isolation from every external sound.

Can the air conditioning run during a recording?

Yes. In quiet mode it produces approximately 16 dB(A) according to its specification. In a typical podcast setup its operation should remain practically imperceptible in the recording.

Can the studio be fully blacked out?

Yes. The room has no windows, allowing full blackout and repeatable lighting conditions at any time of day.

Are the black and beige curtains included?

Yes. Both black and beige velvet curtains are available. A different colour can be ordered in advance and is priced individually.

Is the OLED screen included?

No. The 48-inch OLED screen is an hourly extra. Its current price is loaded from the booking system.

Can I rearrange furniture and props?

Yes. The client may arrange the available furniture and props. Setup, testing, strike and restoring the room all count toward the booked time.

Can I attach decorations to the walls?

Generally, no. Drilling, gluing or permanently attaching items to the walls, ceiling, floor, doors or studio equipment is not permitted, but tell us what you need and we will find a suitable solution.
